The Haulotte story took a decisive turn in 1985 when Pierre Saubot acquired both Pinguely and Haulotte from the French group Creusot Loire. Under his leadership, Haulotte gradually shifted its focus to aerial work platforms, while military-oriented mobile crane activities remained concentrated in Pinguely. This strategic direction paved the way for Haulotte’s rapid expansion in the access industry.
1985
Pierre Saubot takes control of both Pinguely-Haulotte business from Creusot Loire.
1998
A major milestone came in December 1998, when the Group went public on the Paris stock exchange’s Secondary Market. This move provided the financial leverage needed to accelerate its international growth.
2005
By 2005, Pinguely-Haulotte officially became Haulotte Group, reinforcing its global footprint with 20 Sales & Services subsidiaries worldwide. Today, Haulotte is recognized as a key player in the industry, committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions.
